So, as Christmas is creeping up on us, yes I know it’s only just October but it will be here before we know it! I thought I would put together a blog post for those of you after a little shopping inspiration for the special dog/s in your life. They are members of the family afterall so of course they should not be forgotten when it comes to gift giving.
First up for you to have a browse through is a lovely Etsy shop called Collar and Tweed that I found via the wonderful world of Instagram. They make fabulous handcrafted accessories for your four-legged friend. My personal favourites are the tweed bow ties and bandanas.
I have been a fan of this next shop ever since I first saw them at Burghley Horse Trials a fair few years ago. Charley Chau make the most beautiful dog beds. My parents first bought their signature ‘snuggle bed’ for our pampered lurcher and the following year they had to get a smaller version for our jack russell as she kept stealing his bed! The beds are such high quality and look beautiful too. They also make collars, leads and super snuggly blankets to keep your best friend cosy.
If you loved the bow ties mentioned earlier but you don’t have a boy dog then maybe a beautiful tweed flower accessory or tweed coat from Hettie. As you already know I do love a bit of outfit co-ordination and Hettie also make bags and accessories that would allow you to co-ordinate you with you dog perfectly.
Another great shop to head to for dog bedding is Country Abodes. They have a fab dog beds available in a range of beautiful fabrics. Which will fit into your home perfectly as they also have a range of lampshades and soft furnishing in the same fabrics as the dog beds. Country Abodes have kindly given me a discount code for you to use until the end of October. 15% off the entire website with the exeption of Christmas items just enter CB15 at the checkout.
If you are after toy or two for your dog, it is Christmas after all, then head over to Mutts & Hounds. Their toys are so stylish, they will look beautiful in your home and your dog will love playing with them too so win, win! And whilst you are there definitely have a browse about as all their items a simply gorgeous and you are sure to find something lovely for your pooch.
If you are really wanting to splash out and you want to get personal, you can buy this stunning oak dog bowl from The Stylish Dog Company. I think you will agree it is super stylish. It is available in a single or double bowl option. They also a fabulous range of ceramic dog bowls with various breeds of dogs on them to choose from. In fact, I could spend a small fortune on our dogs over at The Stylish Dog Company as all of their products are just amazing.
Leading on from food, I think the build up to Christmas is just as exciting as Christmas itself. Your pooch can join in with this excitement with this lovely advent calendar from Lily’s Kitchen. With a natural and organic treat everyday in the lead up to Christmas your dogs will love you for this one I’m sure.
And last but not least, but also not quite for your dog. How about commissioning a photographer to take some stunning photographs of your four-legged friends. One photographer that I can highly recommend is Steve Wall. So passionate about his work and his attention to detail is second to none, you will not be disappointed in his work in the slightest. I think all of his work is amazing. He can also be found on Instagram and is well worth a follow to see his wonderful photographs of other people’s horses and dogs.
I hope you have enjoyed reading and it has given you some inspiration for your dogs this Christmas. Look out for other shopping inspiration posts coming up including him/her, little girls/boys and of course you can’t forget your faithful steeds.
If you would like your shop or any particular items to feature in any other these posts please do get in touch.
