Have you ever discovered an artist and immediately wanted to buy everything they do?! That is what happened when I saw a post a couple of weeks ago by Katie Cardew on facebook sharing her new grown up colouring book. She was running a competition to win a copy of it and a gift voucher for her shop. I promptly went onto her website and printed off the free colouring sheet, coloured it in and posted up my entry. I didn’t win, drat! However, I did go over to her website to order a colouring book for myself. (I bloody love a colouring book.) Whilst on her website of course I had a browse around and if I could I would have bought soooo much stuff. I resisted and stuck to the colouring book, a few greeting cards and a chopping board as present for my mum.
I resisted starting my colouring book until my watercolour pens arrived. I’m impressed with myself that I managed to, but i’m also so glad that I did because the wait was totally worth it.
Unlike a lot of colouring books I have done the quality of paper that the book uses is amazing. There is no worry that the pens or paints will bleed through to the next page. Also, just look at those images, the detail is fantastic, I can’t wait to get stuck into another page of it when I manage to get some quiet time!
Anywho, the reason for this post is I just wanted to share Katie with you as I’m sure a lot of you will love what she does. I already have my eye on a few more of her products, one of which is an online drawing class which looks fantastic from what I have seen. So go check her out, you won’t regret it. Well, your bank balance might but you won’t!
